my last sbd training....

last sunday was my last Soo Bahk Do training.

picture was taken during 2006 soo bahk do tournament, where we sapu 7 gold, wakakaka.

haha, it was probably going to be my last one as i would be going to KL to work next month. while at work over there i don't think i would continue at a different dojo.

as i look back, wow, it's already almost 6 years since i joined SBD!

here's from my post last year about soo bahk do last year in my old frenster blog.

the most important thing that i gained from SBD is the confidence that i've gained frm it. although it's much better to avoid conflict and i'm not a very good fighter as well, but in case if that really happens, then at least i'll know what to do. that confidence is really something very comfort as you walk down the street or when u're outside. at least u know how to protect yourself or your love ones when situation requires.

haha, it's a pity that i couldnt' get a black. master say that if i continued to this year end, i'll be eligible to take the test. haha, but stil in the corner of my heart, i still fear to chop the brick. not one, but two! although it's not compulsory that you must break it (they actually want to test and see your determination.) but then the after injury that you gained would last a long long time>_<

really need to say a big thank you to my master who has been very patience and good in teaching us. and of course to all my seniors, and juniors for your advice, help and frenship along the way.

all the best, everyone, soo bahk!

rush rush KL trip part2

well, friday nite, saturday and sunday is fun time in KL.

Visit Music Story Cafe

friday nite went to a nice music cafe you can request the singers there to sing songs for you. and wow, the singers there can sing really well. there's a couple of times whereby all the audience keep quiet just to hear them sing. the atmosphere there is also very gud.

my friend suggested to me whether i would want to consider to be a part time singer at music cafe when i come to work in KL. and at that moment i really did consider as i think it's not a bad idea! but then, i couldn't play a guitar, and i duno if i have the strength to take double jobs.

haha, besides, if you become a singer, you sing for the audience, not for your own joy. also, if compared to them the seasoned singers, i'm still a league apart>_<

sat morning sleep until matahari kena burit>_< . my friend take me to shopping centre to window shop hobby store. haha, i like to see those hobby store, but like to see only, i don't buy a single one. haha, it's weird, somehow i think it's just not worth the money:P

among the models i like is spawn, image taken from here.

and todd mcfarlane's dragons series, image taken from here.

oh ya, we also went to the arcade. where me and my friend played a shooting game, whereby using a shotgun. it was quite fun as it's different from a hand gun or automatic rifle type of game that i've previously played before as the shotgun reloads by sliding the pump below.

after whole day of window shopping, i suddenly feel a bit not right. it's like i'm lacking fresh oxygen supply as i've been in shopping complex for the whole day breathing artificial air. haha, or maybe i'm just tired. or i'm just getting too hot inside. not getting used to the weather in KL? haha, i now understand why she ask me this question. i tot it was a very funny question to ask, but now i understand it already as i feel it>_<

then on sunday we went to sing karaoke~~~. haha, i've been holding myself to go sing on saturday night as it's very expensive. so we went to lunch package which is more cheaper and comes with lunch and drink. we went to a karaoke named "New way" whereby it offers quite a good package. RM15 per head. 11-2pm. lunch and one drink provided. free flow of self-service salad frm 11-1pm. and if there's no customer, they're let you sing until 3pm! the room is equiped with four wireless mic and also has one private toilet. so far, this is the most worth-the-money karaoke that i've been to!

in KL, the rates can be different depending on the area the karaoke is located, the nearer to the city centre the more expensive. the one that we went to is somewhere in the suburb part.

then in the afternoon we went to visit IKEA. haha, this is my first time visiting a furniture store for sight seeing, and for the joy of first time i decided to go ahead. and i'm pretty quite amazed of the sheer size (my friend say this is the biggest ikea store in south east asia) and the efforts of the furniture designers and interior decorators, different shopping and buying approach, the ikea concept...wow that's what i called an international standard company~

really it's an eye opener experience for a kuching boy like me:) they even have their own caferteria in which we went to sit down to drink coffee and have some meat balls:P i really feel like a kid again, as i go and tested almost every chair in their exhibition showroom.

haha i was thinking also at that time as i saw many young couples shopping in ikea, when it would be my turn?:P cos i think couples that come together to buy furnitures are really quite stable already in their relationship, are like more moving towards settling down already haha.

i bought a blanket for my mum. my friend said that his friend bought one for his mum and although his mum complain y wasted money but she stil gladly use it as it can keep warm. haha....but sorry mum, that nite i went ahead and test it first whether it can really keep warm, and yeah...i think it does. it's strange cos the materials looks quite thin.

on that nite went to a mamak store to eat roti canai. hmm... roti canai in kl are more advanced. they uses a different plate than kuching one. it has three different types of compartment whereby it stores three different types of curry:) haha, the roti canai that i ate is quite ok. but the teh tarik is really horrible la. no smell of tea at all. virtually tastless. one of my friend complained so much like it's plain water plus coloring only haha:P

haha, there it goes. there's two more interview on monday in which i need to work hard. time for more research to do~.

my rush rush weekend KL adventure

haha, suddenly realize that i've slacked off from posting. the main reason being that i'm currently busy with job hunting and arranging interview and flying to west malaysia for the interview itself.

image taken from here

last thursday night i went to KL to attend two interview on friday and two interview on monday. it was quite some last minute decision, the monday interview was a last minute add on so i need to reschedule my flights. from RM430, i need to add additional RM115 to reschedule my flight. reason being that i bought a two way ticket and they still charged administration fees for both way even though i only change my return schedule.

i was thinking...KNS...haven't even step into plane yet still need to pay up RM115, it's almost like buying another one way ticket. The officer even agreed with me, saying that the return flight is RM119 on monday night.

very soi (unfortunate) also that night when my dad from me at the airport as i grab my bag from the car the handle broke off and i end up need to carry the whole thing. another soi thing is when i got off from skybus and take a taxi, i got slashed by the taxi driver, paying RM30 plus...which is almost tripple pay. ngaiti i even have a good time talking to him...kek tiok>_<

i arrive at my friend's place almost 12am. After discussing arrangement of transport and how to travel around for my next day's interview i quickly drop off to bed at 130am. strange...arriving in KL, i don't feel that tired at that late hour compared if when i'm in Kch. weather influence?

i didn't get to sleep very well that night as i constantly wake up. thanks to the guy sleeping beside me who always flip here and there. another reason is maybe due to the fact that i know that i'm not sleeping comfortably at my familiar bedroom back in kuching...sob..sob..

but luckly it need not affect my next day's mental & spirit for the interview. i woke up at 645am to prepare and went to catch taxi 715am. The interview is scheduled to be at 1030am but to avoid getting stuck in traffic jam and being unfamiliar with the place i've no choice to go there early. and i arrive too early....i arrive at 8am and spend my time at the coffe shop having my breakfast, watching tv and also preparing for the interview.

i ate wantan mee. it looks like kampua mee + wantan soup. haha, taste not so nice lo:P that moment i already miss kolo mee liao>_<

the first interview was good and the boss offered me on the spot. i am to give him a reply in three days time. after the interview at damansara, i need to go for another interview at wangsa maju in 3pm which is located at another end of town. i took a taxi to kelana jaya train station.

i looked at the chart and saw wangsa maju at the other end of the route. wah seh... luckily i got a place to seat at the LRT. time seems to pass very very slowly along the trip...and most of the time i was half asleep.

luckly there's no old folks around so i stil can get to sit along the journey. wah seh.. if stand through whole journey i think my leg kenot stand>_<

oh ya, i forgot to take my ticket as i went through the blockage at the entrance to the LRT. i ended up need to pay extra for another ticket... i dunno why i suddenly blured.

i arrived at wangsa maju station 1 hour plus early. thinking that i am plenty of time, i decided to take a walk to my interview place as it seems very close on the map. i walked and ate my sandwitch lunch...and walked and walked and walao...i ended up at the same place!

i suddenly feel like wanting to knock my head on the wall. so i guai guai (obidiently) take a taxi to go there. i should have taken my friend's advice to take taxi, as while i walk i sweat and i feel abit tired after that.

further more, before the interview, beside the applicaiton form, i need to do a personality test, IQ test and a HTML test which has time limit. The IQ test was quite challenging and it was my first time doing an IQ test for an interview. The HTML test was a disaster as i didn't touch a single bit since uni, which is almost 2 years. but luckly i was still able to write a few thing, i even put down a note appologizing that i'm completely unprepaired for the HTML test:P

among my sibling i'm worst at IQ puzzle games. although i find it fascinating but i'm not that keen to spend my time on it. Just like when watching the Da Vinci Code,

image taken from here

i'm also fascinated by how they solve complex puzzle but i'm not so keen to fully understand the backstage mechanism and how they actually solve it.

ok la...i admit i'm lazy. but i'm not that stupid also>_<

(the interviewer later said that i did quite good for the IQ test)

but the interview did not went too well. at first i was interviwed by the IT manager. things are ok with him, until he called in the H.O.D which would be my future manager to report to. when she come in, she began to point out my mistake here and there and pour cold water.

of course, i did try to defend myself, but overally she spoiled the interview mood and by the look of the IT manager's face, i think he also agrees with me. but at least in the end, the overally mood was ok. i was suprise that she suddenly say i did quite good for the IQ test.

they are to call me up next week for confirmation. i went off without much anticipation from this one. i was feeling abit depressed. hmm...but i was thinking that i got two more interviews in monday so i must work harder!

wah seh...i've written so long liao.. haha continue part 2 later~

pak la's comment on the loss of BN

ai....

when i heard the news, i felt very dissapointed with Pak La's comment on the reason of many losses of BN in the previous election.

he say that it's because BN neglect young people's vote as many young people voted for the opposition. He say that BN neglect to use the internet for election and many young people uses the internet as a medium, that's why they lost.

aiyo...wake up lar...Pak La still haven't realize his own mistake. It's not because BN lose to internet, but that people didn't vote you because you failed to do what you promised to do for Malaysia.
